Our local benefits of vacation rentals campaign continues to run across television, digital, radio, and print, highlighting the positive community impacts from short-term rentals. New testimonials are posted monthly. Remember to help support these local small businesses that support short-term rentals:

While the end of the year finished strong in occupancy, 2024 was down overall about 2% in short-term rental occupancy from the previous year. The year also ended down about 4% in average daily rate (ADR) compared to 2023.

2025 has started off strong. Across the Coachella Valley, ADR is up 8% in January 2025 over January 2024, while occupancy is up 7%.

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating wildfires and recent flooding in Los Angeles. 

Over the last two months, Visit Greater Palm Springs has hosted a resource landing page featuring discounted hotel and vacation rental offers, ensuring access to safe and comfortable accommodations in our region. Additionally, we sponsored $120,000 toward Airbnb.org stays in Greater Palm Springs for those displaced by the fires.

In partnership with the American Red Cross, Visit Greater Palm Springs also launched a $100,000 matching sponsorship campaign to amplify the impact of donations.

In addition, the cities of La Quinta and Palm Springs both passed urgency measures to make it easier for hosts to make short-term rentals available to people displaced by the fires. 

Visit Greater Palm Springs curates two calendars—one for visitor events and another for signature events—that are a resource for both vacation rental operators and their guests.
